Weather delays: Most construction happens rain or shine. Severe weather might pause work for safety, but your builder will keep you updated on the schedule. Installation payment is due when the building is complete and you've done your walkthrough.

Concrete timing: Many builders prefer pouring concrete after the building is up because it protects the work from weather and makes finishing easier. The building is usable before concrete - you can park vehicles on gravel if needed.
